| Bio: | Appearance & Personality His chronological age is 472, his physical age is 25. His height is approximately 5' 10". His natural hair color is black, and is cut so it falls in a soft fringe over his right eye. His eyes are a warm sable-brown that flickers red when his emotions become volatile. He has a wiry, lanky build.. finely muscled without being bulky. He has four piercings in he left ear: three progressively smaller copper rings and a single smoky topaz stud. Other than that, his porcelain-fine skin is unmarked. If you were to ask him, he'd say that there is no point in gilding the lily. He has a short temper, and is annoyed easily. He can be somewhat arrogant, mostly due to the fact that he must constantly step over the bodies of people who have thrown themselves at his feet. "Beauty is such a burden.." He likes kittens, especially when they purr. he also has a fondness for shiny things, particularly jewelry and trinkets made out of copper topaz and pearls. Like any fae, he has an "allergy" to cold iron, and his fire-elemental side makes him fear water. The latter makes him wonder at his fascination with pearls.. He can throw fireballs, and things tend to smoke when he gets too emotional, sometimes to the point of catching fire (though he's working on his control in this and it is slowly improving). He can also fade into the shadows, seeming to melt into them, until he is completely hidden. He does not have his mother's ability to travel via shadows or manipulate them like they were a solid object. He has, however, been known to "dance" with them. Lastly, he is a vegetarian, unless the "prey" in question is sexual in nature. In that case, he's "flexible". History Kage's mother was a dark fae, his father was a fire elemental. The how or why of their relationship was never revealed to him. All he knows was that his mother, in a fit of anger upon learning she would give birth to a "half-breed bastard", threw her lover into a shadow and released him deep under water. This naturally killed him on contact, and Kage harbors a fear of water that is part of his fiery nature. Born a social outcast, he was mostly ignored and neglected as he was growing up. As he matured, however, and those around him saw the graceful beauty he was growing into, they took him in.. and thus began a long education in how to pleasure people. He learned that if he flattered people and allowed them to handle him physically in whatever way they wished, there was a good chance he wouldn't be killed, even if he did sometimes wind up bruised and/or bleeding. He now uses his looks and body to get what he wants and needs. The last person to take him in was his Master. He taught Kage how to defend himself, and some techniques that helps control the flames to some extent. He also gave Kage the only academic schooling he's ever had. He was the first person Kage ever truly cared about. Unfortunately, the caring is what killed him. One evening, he lost control of his emotions, and the fire escaped him. It consumed his beloved Master. Fearing what would happen if the rest of the town discovered what he'd done, he set fire to the house, and disappeared into the night. He has never forgiven himself. Before he'd left his mother's people, he'd heard rumors of a city called "Sanctuary".. A modern city that was a refuge for people who carried magic within them. "Normal" humans couldn't find it, and so it remained a haven where all types of outcasts from the world at large were able to live in relative peace. After much searching, he found it, and lives there to this day.. **A word on the social structure of his mother's people: The women had many husbands, who were treated as little more than pets and breeding stock. It was generally accepted that, being little more worth than animals, the men would therefore satisfy their needs with each other. Therefore, while Kage has only one Lady Love, he is able to, and has, formed emotional attachments to more than one male. He doesn't understand why this is a problem, as it is how he was raised, but does understand that it is a problem for many people.** Kage is unstable/insane/off his rocker! Please do not try and point this out to me, as I already know. He was written that way, and playing him sane/emotionally balanced would be against character. You want to play with someone who shrugs off insults and behaves rationally? Please, darling, look someplace else, cause Kage ain't yer man. | ||||
